I have a child who is 24 and was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and he was in an intensive care unit doing well and was about to come home. He was 8 or 9 years old when this happened. There was a terrible negligent mistake made by one of the nurses in the intensive care unit. My son suffered two cardiac arrests and major organ failure of most of his organs and sustained a severe traumatic brain injury. His care had been neglected, there was no questions. Very carefully and respectfully we needed to do what was best for our son and for his needs and for family and for our future. Jeffs's knowledge of complex brain injuries and medical issues especially traumatic brain injury is unmatched to anyone else to that we interviewed. It was always a fight to get the services that we need and nobody thought Oakley would live this long, and Jeff helped us every step of the way. I have 20 years of experience working with Jeff Eisenberg, and the devotion, the hard work, the generosity, the compassion that he has shown us has been unmatched. There is no way we would be a family at home without Jeff. Jeff has tirelessly fought and fought generously. You never know what the future is going to bring and having someone represent you and to have the foresight based on years of experience and intuition and knowledge to know what your needs might be when you can't even perceive them yourself is a huge gift.
