Polaris Youth RZR & Sportsman 570 Added to List of Recalled Vehicles

July, 2017 — Polaris issued two new recall notices this month. The 2014 Polaris Sportsman 570 All-terrain vehicles and 2015-2017 Polaris Youth RZR 170 are just the latest in a series Polaris ATVs and UTVs to be recalled due to fire hazard. Of the Sportsman, the Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that fuel can leak into the headlight pod and catch on fire. The RZR 170 recall notice states that “the fuel tank neck can crack or the wiring harness can overheat or short circuit, posing fuel leak and fire hazards.” Polaris has issued over 10 recalls of vehicles in the last 4 years to fix various flaws related to fires and burns. There have been reports of severe injuries and death associated with Polaris vehicle fires.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ATVs and UTVs and contact Polaris for repair. To see if your Polaris vehicle has been recalled, please visit the Polaris recall website.
